Lucy Frances Knowles

Reidsville—Mrs. Lucy Frances Moore Knowles, 87, of Reidsville, boarded the Heavenly train on Monday, August 10th, 2015, with Deloise and Barbara by her side. Lucy was born in Henry County, Virginia on August 14th, 1927 to the late Bob and Effie Dunn Moore. She worked with American Tobacco Company, retiring after thirty-seven years. Lucy loved the Lord, gardening, gospel music and treasured her family. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Joe David Knowles and her four brothers. Survivors include two daughters: Deloise Evans of Eden; Barbara Paschal and husband, Mike of Reidsville; grandchildren: John Bray and wife, Courtnee, David Bray and wife, Cheri; Michael Paschal and wife, Courtney; Hannah Moore and husband, Russell and Joey Paschal; great-grandchildren: Bailey, Joe, Kayla and Emily Bray; Lucy and Oliver Paschal; Will and Case Moore and soon to arrive, Luke Moore; brothers: Ed, Dave, Junior and Amos; sisters: Cora, Dovie, Shirley, Betty and Mary; a special friend: Irene Rogers. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 13th, 2015 at eleven o’clock at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Rev. Tommy Puryear and Cress Warner will officiate. Interment will follow in Overlook Cemetery in Eden. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from four until six o’clock at the funeral home and other time at the home of her daughter, Barbara.
