Majorie Cowden Willis

Marjorie Jane Cowden Willis, 86, passed from this life into eternity on Thursday, August 25, 2016, at Avante of Reidsville. She was born on February 21, 1930 in Cincinnati, OH, the third of four children. Margie was a member of Reidsville Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ray Willis, her parents and two siblings. Survivors include her sister, Shirley Oney of Cincinnati, OH, daughters Karen Hansen and husband Rick of Queen Creek, AZ, Kathy Smith and husband Scott of Reidsville, NC, grandchildren Brian Granillo and wife Amanda of Gilbert, AZ, Lindsey White and husband Ryan of Lynchburg, VA, Rachel Smith of Boone, NC, and great grandchildren Brenden Granillo, Knox Granillo and Lily Granillo, all of Gilbert, AZ. Margie was very active prior to her move to North Carolina. She worked full time for many years at Boeing, and was active in womens ministries at her church. She had many friends there and always enjoyed doing things with them. She and her husband were avid, life long campers and both thoroughly enjoyed group camping trips with their friends. Margie loved her family, the Lord, and her church. She was diagnosed with Alzheimers Disease in 2003 and spent the last 8 years of her life at Avante of Reidsville. We wish to express our appreciation to the staff there who lovingly cared for her, and for the many visitors who checked in on her there.
