Malcolm "Pete" Arrington Groff

Malcolm “Pete” Arrington Groff, 92, of Reidsville, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at his home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Reidlawn Cemetery with Rev. Mike Campbell and Rev. John Groff officiating. Pete was born in Dry Fork, Virginia to the late Robert and Arabelle Burnett Groff. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in WWII and was a member of Thompsonville Baptist Church. Along with his parents those preceding him in death are his wife of 60 years, Jane Moore Groff; brothers, Henry Groff, Hiawatha Groff and Buck Groff; sisters, Maddie Groff, Annie Gray and Ola Dalton and grandson, William Moore. Survivors include his son, Calvin “Gene” Moore and wife, Kathryn of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Keith A. Moore and wife, Trish and Kelly G. Moore; great grandchild, Mia Jane Moore and brother, John Groff and wife, Jane. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6-8 P.M., on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
