Reidsville – Malinda Ross Jones Wall, 73, of 1315 Brookwood Drive, died on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, February 21, 2011 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Michelle Chappell officiating. Burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery.Malinda was a daughter of the late Robert Clyde Jones and Ruby Katherine Ross Jones and was a graduate of Elon College with a degree in education. She retired from First United Methodist Church where she was a kindergarden teacher. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Sons and Daughters of Pilgrims, Colonial Dames-Seventieth Century, Charlmagne Society, Jamestowne Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, War of 1812 Society and the United Daughters of Confederacy. Malinda enjoyed spending time at the beach and was an avid lover of dancing, researching genealogy, reading and traveling with her husband, family and friends. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Marvin “Jimmy” Jones and granddaughters, Parker Wall Sarwi, Lauren Amber Wall and Jessica Carand Wall.She is survived by her husband of 52 years, W.A. Wall of the home; son, Woody Wall and wife, Daphne of Reidsville; daughters, Karen Wall Howard and husband, Dennis of Raleigh; Cindy Wall Sarwi and husband, Brant of Reidsville; grandchildren, Jake Wall, Jesse Wall and Katelyn Ross Sarwi; brother, Ted Jones and wife, Tina; sister, Kathy McCollum and husband, Larry; nieces, Michelle Rudd and Rebecca Jones, all of Reidsville.The family will receive friends at First United Methodist Church on Sunday, February 20th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Other times the family will be at the residence.Memorial contributions may be made to the Wall Stafford Scholarship Fund, c/o Rockingham County High School, 180 High School Road, Reidsville, NC 27320.
