Reidsville - Mamie Myrick Johnson, 90, of 8524 US Hwy 158 West, Reidsville, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 29, 2012.A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memory Gardens, Wednesday, August 1st, 2012 at 11:00 AM.Mamie was born August 2, 1921 in Rockingham County, NC to the late Lonnie Talmadge and Cleo Kelly Myrick. She retired from the American Tobacco Company with over 35 years of service. Mamie was a beloved wife, mother, and sister. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.Mamie is survived by her husband of 65 years, Thomas "Jack" Johnson of the home; her daughter, Donna Johnson Sheppard and husband, Mike of Reidsville; her sister, Betty Busick and husband, B.A. of Reidsville and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Hospice Home for the kind care they showed toward Mamie during her stay.There will not be a formal visitation, but the family will receive friends other times at her home.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mamie's name to Hospice Home of Rockingham County, P.O.
