Marcus Delano Faucette, Sr.

Marcus Delano Faucette Sr., 89, of Browns Summit, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Moses Cone Hospital.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, at 2 PM at Monticello UCC in Browns Summit. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church, from 1 PM - 1:45 PM. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Marcus was born in Guilford County to the late Marcus Obie Faucette and Annie Pritchett Faucette. He met the love of his life, Lelia, at Monticello High School. They were members of Monticello UCC for many years during their marriage. His passion was farming which he did on his family farm his whole life. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish. He also loved spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brother, John Faucette and his son-in-law John Miller.

Marcus is survived by his wife of 70 years Lelia Chrismon Faucette; children, Del (Janet), Kenny, Mike (Tama) Faucette and Cathy Miller, grandchildren; Melissa, Josh, Nikki, Tyler and Colton Faucette and Blaire and Shane Miller, 6 great grand-children, sister, Vivian Spencer; and a community full of extended family and friends who will all miss him dearly.
