Madison-Margaret Tate Brown, 93, of Jacobs Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, died on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the nursing home.Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 10, 2011 at Reidlawn Cemetery with Pastor Howard Owens officiating. Mrs. Brown was born in Caswell County, North Carolina to the late John Bracken and Sally Stanley Tate. She loved the Lord and was a long time and faithful member of First Congregational Christian Church. She is currently a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Stoneville. Mrs. Brown loved to travel and had the opportunity to go to Hawaii 3 different times with friends. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Brown; two brothers and one sister.Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Woods and husband, Larry of Eden; grandchildren, Teresa Grubbs and husband, Gary, Richard Woods, Brian Woods and wife, Jennifer and Kristal Early; 7 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren. There will be no formal visitation.
