Margaret Garner Butner

Reidsville – Margaret Garner Butner, 70, of 608 Waynick Road, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at her home.Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Heath Lloyd officiating. The interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens.Mrs. Butner was born in Rockingham County to the late Joseph A. and Carrie Ann Chatman Garner. She was retired from Moses Cone Memorial Hospital after 36 years of service. She was a committed believer of the Christian faith and was a genuine caring, giving and compassionate person. She was an avid Duke Basketball fan and enjoyed attending any and every sporting event possible. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Butner; her daughter, Betty Joe Pulliam and her brother, Carlton Garner.She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Moreno and husband, Arnoldo of Reidsville; granddaughters, Carri M. Mosqueda and husband, Adam of Reidsville and Carmen Moreno of the home; great grandson, Adam “A.J.” Mosqueda, Jr.; brother, Delbert Garner and wife, Elsie of Reidsville; several nieces and nephews; her faithful pet and best friend, Tasha.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Friday, August 28, 2009 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM and other times at Carri’s home (145 Mallard Lane) and Delbert’s home (520 Waynick Road).
