Margaret York Dixon

Reidsville, NC Mrs. Margaret York Dixon, 88, of 605 Cedar Lane, Reidsville went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 13, 2013, at Morehead Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who dearly loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a loyal member of Penn Memorial Baptist Church until illness prevented her from attending. She was a retired inspector with Burlington Industries Drapery Plant, Reidsville, North Carolina. Survivors include her son, Mitcheal R. Dixon and wife Ann of Madison; grandsons, Kevin D. Dixon and wife, Becky of Reidsville, Keith D. Dixon and wife, Kelly of Riverview, FL; granddaughter, Amy Massey of Reidsville; great-grandchildren, Winter, Levi, Angel, Abby and Zane Dixon; sisters-in-law, Camilla York and Alyne Martin; and special life long friend, Mary Tilton of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sally York, her husband, Billie R. Dixon; son, Billy L. Dixon; brother, Johnnie W. York; and grandson, Chad D. Dixon. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Penn Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. Tommy Puryear will officiate. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at Mrs. Dixon’s home on Cedar Lane in Reidsville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Penn Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, 2029 Freeway Drive, Reidsville, North Carolina 27320.
