Margaret Moore Strader

Reidsville: Margaret Moore Strader, 93, of Reidsville, went home to rest with the Lord on Monday, January 4, 2016. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation will be prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. Margaret was born on November 9, 1922, in Rockingham County to the late John Henry and Mary Sapp Moore. She was part of a large family of twelve children. Early in life, Margaret was a mother and homemaker. She later owned and operated a building contractor business and after that she worked for Sylvania Corporation. She was a very strong and determined person who overcame many obstacles. She was also known for having a great sense of humor. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Alver W. Bolejack; her second husband, Tankersley M. Strader; her siblings, Kate, Hazel, Nellie, Emma Lee, Coy, John, Clyde, Tom, Lewis and Marvin, and her granddaughter, Cheryl Ann Gillispie.. Survivors include her children, Lucille Bolejack Gillispie, Michael W. Bolejack and Janet Bolejack Williams; her grandchildren, Lindsey Bolejack, Nicholas Bolejack and Todd Gillispie; her great grandchildren, Blake, Erica and Huston; her great-great grandson, Sebastian, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thanks to her caregiver, Della Hall.
