Margaret Allene Poindexter

Reidsville – Margaret Allene Poindexter Lee, 82, of 2631 Chandler Mill Road, died Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at her home.Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Lively Stones Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Kent officiating. Mrs. Lee was born in Rockingham County and was a daughter of the late Roy and Nora Stanley Poindexter. She retired from Dan River Mills after more than 30 years of service and was a member of Lively Stones Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister, Estelle P. Hamlett; brother, Leroy Poindexter and a great granddaughter, Mia Lee.She is survived by her husband, Lewis D. Lee of the home; Sons, Mike Lee and wife, Marinda of Reidsville and Roy Allen Lee of the home; daughter, Tammy Lee Hancock and husband, Roger of Pelham; grandchildren, Amy and Jana Lee of Reidsville, Roy Allen (T.J.) Lee and wife, Caroline of Pembroke Pines, FL, Brooke Hancock of Pelham; sisters, Adele Poindexter of Pelham, Nora P. Alderson and husband, Curtis of Danville, VA, Myrtle P. Bailey and Delane P. Bailey of Pelham; Clara P. Marshall and husband, Avery of Providence; Brothers, Tommie Poindexter and wife, Sandra of Eden, Clyde D. Poindexter and wife, Faye of Reidsville, John Poindexter and wife, Pat of Pelham; sister-in-law, Louise Lee Poindexter of Pelham. The family will receive friends Friday, May 28 at Lively Stones Baptist Church, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
