Margaret Wright Scearce

Reidsville – Margaret Wright Scearce, 93, of 167 Candy Rock Lane, died on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 16, 2013, at New Lebanon Christian Church with Dr. Mark Harris officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Scearce was born in Fuquay-Varina to the late Charles Robert and Lenna Fuquay Wright. She was a member of New Lebanon Christian Church, and a former choir member, a member of the order of Eastern Star, and a member of the Bason Home Extension Club. She loved traveling, playing with her grandchildren and playing the piano. Her first love was spending time with her family. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Scearce;her sister, Ruth Wilson; and two brothers, Raney and Robert Wright. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Sharpe and husband, Ray, of Reidsville; one granddaughter, Cindy Jones and husband, Chuck of Reidsville; one grandson, Phil Sharpe and wife, Tina, of Hampstead, NC; great grandchildren, Will Jones, Liz Sharpe and Samantha Sharpe; her special caregiver, Addie Sue Hale. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 15, 2013, from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
