Margaret Suthard

Margaret Suthard, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 31, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Wilkerson Funeral home with Pastor Kevin Bedard officiating. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson from 6-8 PM Wednesday April 3, 2019. The burial will follow the service at Evergreen Memory Gardens. Margaret was born in Rockingham County to the late Taylor Lee Shelton and Mary Elizabeth Shelton. Granny loved angels, flowers, yard sales, word searches and dolls. She kept her nails done and always loved the color pink. Most of all she loved her family. She will be greatly missed. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant son; sisters, Mozelle Palmer, Osteen Hundley, Lucille Walker, Frances Evans and Nancy Parrish. She is survived by her loving children, Louise Suthard, Jerry Suthard and wife Marian; grandchildren, Kevin Suthard and wife Laurie, Autumn Brown and husband Brandon; great grandchildren, Riley and Jackson Suthard, Taylor and Gracyn Brown; sister, Nina Oxendine; brother, John Tate as well as a large extended family. The family would like to offer special thanks to Nina Oxendine for all of her love and care for Margaret over the last few months.
