Marian Lovelace Thomas

Pelham - Marian Lovelace Thomas, formerly of Red Marshall Road, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Avante in Reidsville.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 16, 2012 in Pelham United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Durham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The pallbearers are Scott Thomas, David Thomas, Marvin Lee, Bradley Overby, Andy Thomas and Austin Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Cody Hall and Jacob Thomas.Marian was born on September 23, 1930 in Pittsylvania County Virginia and was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Ossie Loftis Lovelace. She was retired from Dan River Mills after 42 years of service and was a Certified Nurses Assistant. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bradley Thomas and son, Charles Dennis Thomas.She is survived by her son, James Lee Thomas; daughters, Doris Thomas Overby and Hilda Justice; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Wallace Mary Burchett and Audrey Davis.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and other times at the home on 2355 Red Marshall Road, Pelham, North Carolina.
