Brown Summit - Marion Thomas Johnson, 80, of 5736A Chrismon Road, died on Sunday, January 22, 2012, at Rockingham County Hospice Home.Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Chandler officiating. The burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.Mr. Johnson was born in Guilford County to the late Tommy and Brona Chrismon Johnson and was a former employee of Star Electric. He was also a NASCAR official for 18 years and a flagman for Bowman Grey, Ace and Caraway Speedways. He was an official for the legendary Flathead Ford Racing Association. Survivors include his wife, Delsie Quinn Johnson; son, Larry Johnson; step daughter, Reba Duncan and husband, Donald; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother, Marvin Johnson; sister, Mary Hunter and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Wilkerson Funeral Home other times at the home.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Home of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, North Carolina 27375
