Marion Cassandra Rumley Wright

Reidsville: Marion Cassandra Rumley Wright, 65, of 1074 Woolen Store Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 8, 2008 at The Rockingham County Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 11th at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Tillman officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Wright was born in Rockingham County to the late John LeRoy and Ora Price Rumley. She was retired from American Express as a Credit Analyst and held numerous accomplishments for her excellence of performance at her job. Marion excelled as a wife, mother, and grandmother and she loved her children and grandchildren beyond compare. Mrs. Wright was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and was a devoted Christian that put God first in her life. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Wayne Wright and sister, Charlotte Rumley Bishop. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Smith of the home; sons, Randy Brown of Browns Summit, John Brown and wife Rhonda of Reidsville; grandchildren, Bradley, Taylor, Sharlotte and Cassandra Brown, brother, Garnes L. Rumley and wife Joyce of Raleigh, sister, Barbara R. Linville and husband Jerry of Greensboro. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 10th at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 7:00 – 9:00 PM and other times at the home. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for the loving care from the caretakers of the community and a very special thank you to Sara Walker for the extra care and devotion to Marion.
