Mark Steven Sarnecki

Greensboro- Mr. Mark Steven Sarnecki, 62, passed on Thursday, December 22nd, 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at ten thirty in the morning on Friday, December 30th at Holy Infant Catholic Church with Father Frank Seabo serving as celebrant. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Mark was born on November 8th, 1954 in Chicago, IL to the late Harold Sarnecki and Mary Kruk Sarnecki. He worked in management with Kmart and Macy’s for his entire career. He was a member of Holy Infant Catholic Church for over twenty years and a former member of Knights of Columbus. Mark was a devoted husband, son, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father and his in-laws, Ray and Shirley Hicks and a grandchild, Felix Warren. Survivors include his wife, Angela Sarnecki; one son, Matthew Sarnecki; two daughters, Jennifer Marie Sarnecki Warren and husband, David Ray; Kristina Sarnecki Bailey and husband, Daryl; his mother, Mary Sarnecki; one brother, Paul Sarnecki; two sisters, Andrea Sarnecki and Claudia Sarnecki; grandchildren, Ashaw, Ciara, Amora and Arowa. A vigil will be held on Thursday evening beginning at six o’clock at the funeral home, followed by visitation until eight o’clock. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choosing.
