Mark Anthony Scott

Mark Scott met Jesus in spirit on October 20, 2024, at his home in Reidsville. He is survived by his wife Tina Green Scott; his mother Ann Fox Scott; and extended family. 

Mark was born and raised in Greensboro and graduated from Southern Guilford High School before graduating from UNC-Greensboro. He enjoyed the outdoors and played a variety of sports that kept him outside. He was an active member of Shannon Hills Bible Chapel while growing up and most recently at Dan River Church in Danville, VA. He was always eager to serve, even at a moment’s notice. 

Mark had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tell people that he met his wife at a mental hospital. When their eyebrows raised, he grinned and explained, “We worked there!” 😊

Mark had a generous heart and supported a variety of charities, provided financial assistance to those in need and volunteered his time and energy to help those who needed some “Muscle”. He often thought of others and surprised people with gifts when he saw something that made him think of them.

Mark was preceded in death by his father James Gray Scott and his twin brother Matt Scott. 

At his request, there will be no formal service. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
