Martha Ross Maynard

Reidsville - Martha Ross Maynard, 91, of the Penn Nursing Center, died on Wednesday, March 11, 2009.The funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 15, 2009, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Andrews officiating. Pallbearers will be Ricky Andrews, Van Moore, John Irvin Ross, Christopher Brown, Tim Ross and Mike Chambers. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.Mrs. Maynard, a native of Waco, Georgia, was the daughter of the late Preston Wayne and Lucille Bailey Ross. She was a homemaker, a member of the Carolina Pines Baptist Church in Raleigh and a member of the Garden Club, also in Raleigh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Irvin Maynard, sister, Frances Brown, brothers, Preston Ross, Jack Ross, Rev. Perry Ross, Wayne Ross and Gene Ross.She is survived by her foster daughter, Vickie Kuehne, foster grandchildren, Melissa Hammond and Nathan Keith both of Raleigh, three foster great grandchildren, and brother William Van Ross of Greensboro.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P O Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375 and The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) c/o Linda Tiramani, 520 8th Ave. 7th floor, New York , New York 10018Condolences may be sent to the family at www.wilkersonfuneral.com
