Martin Thomas Duncan

Martin Thomas Duncan, 82, went home to be with Lord on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, January 31^st, 2022, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Dr. Terry Lawson and Rev. Mike Chrismon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and a graveside committal will follow the service at Evergreen Memory Gardens.

Martin Thomas Duncan was born in Person County to the late George Washington Duncan and Annie Mae Pulliam Duncan. He served in the US Army in Transportation and after his honorable services he began driving a truck for Associated Transport eventually retiring from Prystup Trucking Co. after many years of service. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. Martin was a faithful and longtime member of New Heights Baptist Church in Reidsville. Most of all, he loved his church and the love of his life, Doris.

Along with his parents, Martin is preceded in death by his sisters, Adline D. Brown, Nannie Lou D. Bowes and Dorine D. Holt and his brother, James Cleveland Duncan.

Martin is survived by his wife of 62 years, Doris F Duncan along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a large and loving group of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Building Fund at New Heights Baptist Church 2796 NC Hwy 14, Reidsville, NC 27320
