Mary Alice Norman Hatcher

Mary Alice Norman Hatcher, 83, passed away on December 6, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. A Funeral Service will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Bill Mckinney officiating. Burial will follow at Christian Fellowship Cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM and other times at the home. Alice was born May 11, 1936 in Yadkin County and was the daughter of the late Herman Glen Norman and Sarah Velvie Barlett Norman. She was a longtime and faithful member of Christian Fellowship Church. Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. She loved working in her yard and travelling with family on special trips. She retired from Equity Meats after many years of service. Along with her parents, Alice was predeceased by her husband, Grant R. Hatcher; sisters: Pauline Gwynn and Nellie Davidson; brothers: James William Norman, Kermin Glen Norman, Johnny Frazier Norman, Arthur Allen Norman, and Otis Gray Norman. Survivors include her daughter, Sarah Hatcher Frazier (Donnie); and her son, Grant Lee Hatcher (Christy); grandson, Jeremy Grant Ford (Kristy); and one brother, Herman Ray Norman; and many nieces and nephews; and her loyal companion dog, Fender. Alice and the family would like to express a sincere thanks to her church family who eased her journey with their prayers and help. Special thanks to Sally Rickman, Danny Shreves, Regina and Donnie Newman for their kindnesses and help in many ways.
