Mary Ann Hylton Strader

: Mary Ann Hylton Strader, 76, of 5322 Eckerson Road, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Wilkerson Funeral Home and the burial will follow in Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Mrs. Strader was born in Rockingham County on November 18, 1940 to the late Harry Roy Hylton and Virginia Tate Hylton. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family describes her as a very sweet person. Mary and Phil would have been married 58 years on June 27th and were high school sweethearts. She loved travelling but home was her best place. She is survived by her husband, Andrew Phillip “Phil” Strader; a daughter, Sandy Smith and husband, Keith of Davidson County; and grandchildren: Andrew Smith, Emily Smith, and Oliva Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
