Mary King Barber

Mary King Barber, 93, of 1353 County Home Road, Reidsville, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2020. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Matt Smith officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home. Mary was born in Rockingham County to the late William Ruffin King and Bessie Fargis King. She was a faithful member of Sandy Cross Wesleyan Church. She loved gardening, flowers, embroidery and reading, especially the Bible. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Barber and brother, George King. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Fargis; grandchildren, Greg Fargis, Jenny F. Daniels and husband, Jonathan, Amy Fargis, Aaron Fargis and wife, Heather ; great grandchildren, Annie Daniels, Ellie Fargis, Samuel Daniels, Max Daniels, Wesley Fargis, Finn Daniels and Lucy Daniels; sister, Virginia Blakley and husband, Carlos.
