Mary Haithcock Long Bishop

Mary Haithcock Long Bishop, 77, went home to be with the lord, peacefully, at her home on July 4th, 2018. A celebration of life will be held at 2 o’clock on Sunday, July 8th, 2018 at Gospel Baptist Church, in Greensboro. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Mary was born in Guilford County, the daughter of Gertrude Day Ray and Henry Haithcock. She was a member of Gospel Baptist Church and retired from Guilford Mills. A Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and a Great-Great Grandmother. She enjoyed traveling to the Mountains and Beach with her family. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Warner Howard Long; sons, Alvin and Warner (J.R) Long; daughter, Patsy Priddy and a grandson, Anthony Long. Survivors include her husband of 28 years Robert Bishop; daughters, Deborah Long, Pamela Caudle and husband Ron; grandchildren, Becky Snowman, Tina and Warner Long III (Bo), Heather Priddy, Steven and Tabitha Long, Cameron, Austin and Peyton Caudle; great-grandchildren, Skylar and Madison Sanchez, Aiden Dixon, Abby Priddy, Samantha Streu, Logan, Evan and Racheal Snowman along with 2 great-great-grandchildren and a large extended family. Memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Baptist Church at 5945 N Church Street, Greensboro, NC 27455.
