Ruffin: MARY EUNICE DISHMON FRENCH, longtime resident of the Mayfield Community, Ruffin, NC and for the past 2 years at Eden Estates, Eden, NC died on Friday, March 29, 2013 at Morehead Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 1st at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor Lee Eggers officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Wolf Island Primitive Baptist Church.
Eunice was born on February 23, 1921 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia to the late Eugene Dishmon and Cora Chumley Dishmon. Mrs. French retired from Dan River Mills, Danville, VA. She was a member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church, Pelham, NC. She enjoyed her church, traveling, baking cakes and being with her grandsons. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Lee French; brothers, Russell and Haywood Dishmon; sisters, Nettie Dishmon and Thelma London.
Survived by daughters, Juanita French Cooper and husband Jerry of Greensboro, NC and Joyce French Kincaid, of Valdese, NC; grandsons: West Cooper of Greensboro, NC; Zane Cooper of Gibsonville, NC and Scott Kincaid of Iron Station, NC; Great granddaughters Jordan Cooper, Macy Kincaid, and Elizabeth Kincaid; great grandson Bishop Kincaid; great-great granddaughter, Dreavyn Cooper and great-great grandson, Anthony West Young; sister, Evelyn Stophel and husband Harvey of the Happy Home Community, Ruffin NC; 6 nieces and 3 nephews.
