Mary Lind Dunn

Reidsville: Mary L. Dunn, 70, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville with Rev. John Marks officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Mary was born in Rockingham County. She was a retiree of Rockingham Community College and a member of Grace Fellowship Church. Mary was born July 20, 1946 in Reidsville and lived most of her life here except for a few of her early years. She graduated from Reidsville Sr. High School and attended UNC-G briefly, and later graduated from Rockingham Community College’s 2-year Secretarial Science Program. She went to work immediately after graduation in the Office of Student Affairs. She enjoyed her job and worked at RCC for 40 and a half years before retiring. Mary was a faithful member of her church and especially enjoyed being a member of the Women’s Fellowship through the years. Mary loved her immediate family very much. She also enjoyed spending time with “the lunch bunch”, retirees from the college, and her church friends, especially Myra, an exceptional good friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, James R. Dunn II and Jenny Black Dunn. She is survived by a brother, James R. Dunn III, a sister-in-law, Kay T. Dunn and a nephew, James B. Dunn. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home one-hour prior to the service and other times at the home of James R. Dunn III, 2315 Belmont Drive, Reidsville.
