Mary Holt Fain

Reidsville: Mary Holt Fain, 86 of 3250 NC Hwy 14, passed away on Monday December 9, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gordon Fisher and Rev. Richard Leviner officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Mary was born in Rockingham County to the late Walter and Eliza Shular Holt. She was a faithful member of Reidsville Pentecostal Holiness Church where she played the piano for 62 years and always put God first in her life. She was a “Beacon Of Light”. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and enjoyed traveling with her husband. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Fain McKinney; sisters, Lucy Lee Manuel, Hallie Gibson and Effie Owens; brothers, Carlton Holt and Dillard Holt. Survivors include her husband, Starley Fain; sons, James Fain and wife, Myra and Forrest Fain and wife, Debbie; nine grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; brother, Curtis Holt and sister, Loretta Holland and husband, Billy. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
