Mary Etta French Ellington

– Mary Etta French Ellington, 91, of 376 Lovings Road, passed away Friday, August 22, 2008, at Penn Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, August 25, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Ellington was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Lillie French; three brothers, Whitmer, Raleigh and Arthur French, and her sister, Nellie Sparks. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Edgar Ellington; son, Wayne Ellington and wife, Ivie; two grandchildren, Angela Martin and husband, Keith, Byron Ellington and wife, Stephanie; five great grandchildren, Walter and Seth Martin, Mary Catherine, Morgan and Emma Ellington. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm on Sunday at Wilkerson Funeral and other times at the home of her son, 287 Lovings Road. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt.
