Mary Adkins Hanks

Reidsville- Mary Adkins Hanks, 67, of 2101 South Scales Street, Apt 9B, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on September 15, 2014 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in Glencoe United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mary was born in Pittsylvania County. to the late Lindsey Lee Adkins, Sr. and Nora Dodson Adkins. She was a former employee of Huffman Oil Company. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Lee Hanks, Sr.; sister, Lisa Elaine Adkins; grandson, Dakota Hanks. Survivors include her son, Lonnie Lee Hanks, Jr.; daughters, Marcy Lynn Hanks and Teresa McIntyre and husband, Steven; grandchildren, Jessica Hanks, Lonnie Reed Hanks, Tiffany McIntyre, Christopher McIntyre, Marykate McIntyre, Cheyenne Hanks; brothers, Lindsey Lee Adkins, Jr. and wife, Vicki, Roger Dean Adkins and Kenneth Wade Adkins and wife, Susie and numerous nieces and nephews.
