Mary Henry Isley Collins went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 10, 2019. She left this world peacefully surrounded by her family who loved her dearly.
Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Mitchell Collins; parents, William Thomas Isley and Carrie Purgason Isley; sisters, Louise Morris, Dorothy Gray Paschall and brothers, Pete Isley, Johnny Isley and Jimmy Isley.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Collins Moore and husband, Doug; sons, Mike (Meathead) Collins and wife, Joy, Herbert Collins and wife, Wendy; sister and Partner In Crime, Margaret Sue Simpson; grandchildren, Andy Moore, Adam Moore and wife, Mandy, Jennifer Collins, Brandon Arnold, Brandon Miller and Rachel LaRocco and husband, Matt; great grandchildren, Joseph Barton, Waylon Moore, Tatum Moore and Anna LaRocco. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Mary loved to garden, farm, sew and enjoyed her many trips to her second home at White Lake. Her cooking was always a treat and never failed to bring her family together around the dinner table. She was blessed to enjoy her vacation home at White Lake for over 60 years with her family and extended “White Lake” family: Manuela, Juri, Pablo, Ariana, John, Tracey, Grayson, Primo, Rosa, Kenya, Jackie and Alex who also called her “Mema”.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to caregiver Tammy McKinney for her loving care and devotion to her friend “Mrs. Mary”.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 11 from 6 until 8pm at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12 at 2pm at Bethany United Methodist Church with Rev. Sharon Lee and Rev. Jim Raines officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
