Mary Dalton Loftis

Mary Dalton Loftis, 82, completed her journey in this life on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the Hospice Home of Alamance/Caswell County. Funeral services will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Gary Loftis officiating. Burial will follow at Gibson-Hamlett Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, February 9, 2019 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 PM and other times at her daughter Susan’s home. Mary was born in Danville, VA on March 5, 1936 to the late John Kirby Dalton and Mary Lucille Jennings Dalton. She was a devoted loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved animals and loved the color blue. Mary will be greatly missed by her family and friends and her beloved dog, Dixie Bell. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Thomas Loftis, Sr. and a son, Glen Thomas Loftis, Jr. as well as two brothers: John Kirby “JK” Dalton and David Wayne Dalton. She is survived by her son, Ricky Loftis (Angela) of Burlington; four daughters: Susan Hubbard (Carl) of Reidsville, Precious Gail Moore (Robert) of Gibsonville, Bonnie Gibson (Troy) of Blanch, NC, and Lisa Bradford of Burlington; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren; a sister, Marlene Moore of Sutherland, VA and a large extended family.
