Mary Arlena Moore Blankenship

Burlington–Mary Arlena Moore Blankenship, 87 of 208 Cates Avenue, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2010, at Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Lamberth and Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.Mrs. Blankenship was born in Rockingham County to the late John Cecil and Elizabeth Sutton Moore. She was a retiree of The American Tobacco Company and a member of Baptist Temple Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Allen Blankenship; four brothers and one sister.Survivors include her son, Walter Paul Blankenship and wife, Gloria of Burlington; grandchildren, Paul Allen Blankenship and wife, Sherry and Desha Sutton and husband, Jeff; great grandchildren, Cassey and Cody Blankenship, Baley and Jasey Sutton; brothers, Cecil, Bill and Johnny Moore; sisters, Doris Manring, Betty Dyson and Elsie London.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Tuesday evening May 4th from 6-8 PM.Memorials may be made to Baptist Temple Church, 729 Wentworth Street, Reidsville, North Carolina or Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, North Carolina 27215.
