Mary "Polly" Warren

Mary "Polly" Crowder Warren, 84, of Reidsville went home to be with the Lord Saturday, May 20, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 26, 2023 at Covington Church with Reverend Ralph Clayton and Pastor Jimmy Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday, May 25th and at other times at the home. 

Polly was born in Rockingham County to the late Joe Henry and Virginia Chatham Crowder. In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by her husband Wallace Howard Warren; Brother Bobby Crowder and wife Pat and son-in-law Keith French. She loved cooking and carrying food to others and enjoyed spending time in her flower and vegetable gardens. Along with canning and freezing what she grew, she loved teaching others how to grow and care for their own gardens. She was an active member of Covington Church where she spent much of her time planning receptions and spending time with the J.O.Y. Group. She also volunteered for many years with the Red Cross, assisting in blood drives.

Polly is survived by her daughter, Joyce French; son, Ronald Keith Minter; grandchildren, Matthue French, Keith Minter, Jr. and wife Tara, Kristi Arrington and husband Garry and Brandon Minter; great-grandchildren, Carley Minter, Jake Minter, Riley Arrington and Everley Arrington; brothers, Joe Henry Crowder, Jr. and wife Dianne, Jack Crowder and wife LuAnne and Allen Crowder and wife Leona; step daughters, Janet Hanline and husband Donnie and Kelly Soyars; step-grandchildren, Justin Owens and wife Susan, Travis Grogan and wife Heather, and a large and extended loving family.
