Mary Roberts Moore

Reidsville: Mary Roberts Moore, 93, went home to be with The Lord on Friday, April 6, 2018, at Rockingham County Hospice Home. Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018, at 2:00 P.M., at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at Errin’s home, 8130 NC Highway 87. Mrs. Moore was born on June 21, 1924, in Orange County to the late Robie Clarence “RC” Roberts and Mary Maggie Nelson Roberts. She worked at American Tobacco Company for over 30 years. She was a member of Baptist Temple Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Along with her parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her loving husband, Woodrow “Woody” Moore, her brothers, James Roberts and Bobby Roberts, her sisters, Helen Gillie, Thelma Coleman and Mabel Gilland. Survivors include her son, Steve Moore and wife Gloria; grandchildren, Errin French and husband Dorian, Devan Simmons and husband Dustin; great grandchildren, Candace, Brianna, Alyssa, Jersey and Ronnie; sisters, Jean Gerringer and Ruth Spain.
