Mary Ruth Carter Pryor

Mary Ruth Carter Pryor, 88, of 502 Wentworth Street, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017 at her home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Dr. Keith Allen Bradsher officiating. The family will see friends following the service at the cemetery. At other times the family will be at the home. Mrs. Pryor was born in Rockingham County to the late William O. and Kate Corum Carter. She was a retiree of The American Tobacco Company and a member of Baptist Temple. She had a love for doing crafts of all kinds especially card-making. She enjoyed her Tuesdays in the basement with her friends working on various projects. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Curtis Carter and George Carter and two younger siblings. Survivors are her sons,William Kenneth Bradsher and wife, Ann and Keith Allen Bradsher and wife, Leigh; grandchildren, Melanie Ambrose and husband, Kyle, Drew Bradsher and fiancé Amber Valentine, Megan Dozier and husband, Derek, Amanda Tester and husband, Clint and Cory Bradsher; great grandchildren, Maddox Ambrose and Dawson Dozier and sister, Vivian Overby Slaydon.
