Reidsville – Mary B. Taylor, 75, of 505 Sherwood Road went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Burton Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Ronnie Jones and Dr. Alton Cook officiating. The burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at her residence.
Mrs. Taylor was a native of Raeford Hoke County and was the daughter of the late, Gilbert and Elizabeth Baker. She was passionate in her faith and a committed member of Burton Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed the simple things in life. Her legacy will continue for generations to come. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Hadley Kate Flournoy.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband, Elmer Taylor of the home; her daughters, Sharon Kay Thames and husband, Howard of Mebane, Susan Carol Gibbs and husband, Lee of Stokesdale, Elizabeth Diane Huet and husband, Woody of Jamestown and Nancy Fay Flournoy and husband, Richard of Denton; grandchildren, Eric Flournoy and wife, Ashley, Katie Stewart and husband, David, Chris Turner and wife, Emily, Kyle Bryant, Ryan Flournoy and wife, Kelly, Austin Huet and Maggie Huet; 8 great grandchildren; and brother, Bill Steadman and wife, Betty of Trinity.
