Mary Ruth Webb Richardson

Reidsville– Mary Ruth Webb Richardson, 87, of 1101 Gaddy Street, Reidsville, died on Thursday, May 8, 2009 at her children’s home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. at Reidsville Alliance Church, with Pastor Norm Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Dan View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Guil, Mat Willams, Lewis Williams, Wayne Billingsley, Kenneth Billingsley, David Halbrook, George Jordan and Tim Warner. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Morrow, Don Chester, John Ross, J.T. Billingsley and Jon Shrive. Mrs. Richardson, a native of Rockingham County, was born to the late John Luther and Lena Moles Webb and was a member of Reidsville Alliance Church for over 50 years. She was a former owner of New Laundry and Cleaners, a member of Forest Hills Ext. Homemakers Club, former charter member of the Rockingham Gun Club. After retiring, she attended Rockingham Community College for continuing Educational Classes in art. In addition of her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Richardson, brothers, John Luther Webb, Sr. and Luther B. Stanley and sister, Wavie W. Tew. Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis Ann Reid and husband, Pete; son, Michael Webb Warren and wife, Jerri; grandchildren, Michele Johnson, John Michael Warren and wife, Lisa, Melody Gwynn Yates and husband, Russell, Ron Kimrey and wife Rhonda, Roger Reid and wife, Marie, Kimberly Johnson and husband, Todd, Kim Gwynn: great grandchildren, Brittany Johnson, Cole Johnson, Hunter Gwynn, Christian Reid, Nichole Reid, Luke Kimrey, Ashton Kimrey, Samantha Johnson, Erik Johnson, Chandon Warren, Caleb Gwynn, Daniel Lawrence, Helen Gwynn; Lindsey Yates and Justice Yates; brother, Sherman Webb and wife, Edith; sister, Hattie W. Smith. . The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday, May 10th from 7:00 –9:00 PM and other times at her residence, 1101 Gaddy Street. Memorials may be made to Reidsville Alliance Church Building Fund, 1300 Freeway Drive, Reidsville or Rockingham County Council on Aging, P. O. Box 1915, Reidsville, N.C.
