Reidsville – Matthew “Matt” Cade Watkins, of 8326 US 158, 23, passed away on June 6, 2011.The family will receive family and friends from 6 – 8 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Matt was born on November 3, 1987 to Robert “Bear” Elwood Watkins, Sr. and Kimberly Freeman Watkins. He enjoyed playing basketball and shooting pool. Matt was a kind hearted young man and a loving son that had a special place in his heart toward all of his siblings.He is survived by his loving parents, Robert “Bear Watkins, Sr. and Kimberly Watkins; brothers, Robert Watkins, Jr., and wife Maghan, Luke Watkins; sisters, Cheyenne Watkins and Tiffany Watkins; wife, April Watkins; daughter, Alexis Watkins; grandparents, Arlan and Louise Freeman, and Halton and Barbara Watkins; uncles, Sonny and Judd Freeman; niece; Tatum Watkins; nephew, Sawyer Watkins and several friends.The family requests memorials be made to Wilkerson Funeral Home to help pay for funeral expenses.Wilkerson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
