Mattie Rebecca "Becky" Baynes Wilson

Mattie Rebecca “Becky” Wilson, 91, left her earthly home on Tuesday, January 14th, 2025. Her strong faith and unwavering dedication to God provided comfort as she passed peacefully, reuniting with her loved ones in heaven.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Dr. Ron Tuck officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and at other times at her home. Burial will immediately follow the service at Evergreen Memory Gardens.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Cecil Wilson; daughter, Barbara Harris. She is survived by her daughter, Marie (Richard);son-in-law, Ronnie (Jean) grandchildren, Richie, Brian (Kristy), Keith (Ashley), and Nikki (Bryant); and ten great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Kylee, Colton, Lee, Bekah, Markyse, Justin (Tiffany), Harley, Lukas, and Cody. She also had one great great granddaughter, Lila. 

Mattie worked at the American Tobacco Company for 40 years, cherishing every moment of her career and embracing retirement with joy. She was a lifelong member of Lawsonville Road Baptist Church in Reidsville, where she faithfully attended until she was no longer physically able. You could often find her watching game shows very loudly.

The family expresses gratitude for the love and support shown during this difficult time. A special thanks to Cathy Blanton and Carol Knowles for their friendship over the years.
