Reidsville: Mattie Sue Perkins Alexander, 62, of 1718 Amos Street, died Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Moses Cone Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, February 6, 2009 in Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Mattie Sue was born in Rockingham County to the late Elijah and Minnie Huskey Perkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Alexander and 11 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son, Billy Watlington and wife, Pam of Reidsville; daughter, Misty Watlington Williams and husband, Andy of Mocksville, NC; step-daughter, Melissa Alexander of Brown Summit; grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Benjamin, Caitlin and Taylor; sister, Maggie Equils of Reidsville. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday, February 5, from 7-9 PM.
