Megan Nicole Sutherland

Megan Nicole Sutherland, 24, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2020 at Moses Cone Hospital. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Megan was born September 5, 1996 to James Millard Downs Jr. and Windi Lou Sutherland Southern-Downs. She loved music, the beach, floating the river and meeting new people. She was always smiling and had a wonderful sense of humor. Most of all she loved her children and family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Megan is survived by her two sons, Grayson Dakota Potts and Jayden Lee Settle; parents, James M. Downs Jr. and Windi Sutherland Southern-Downs; brothers, Stephen E Southern (Nina Smith), Joeseph T Southern and James Michael Eugene Downs; nephew, Eli Stephen Southern; grandmother, Sadie Mae Sutherland along with a large and loving group of friends and extended family.
