Melvin Tyler Joyce

Marion, NC – Melvin “Tyler” Joyce, 51, of 4545 Ashworth Circle, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at his home.A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, May 23, 2011 at Ayersville Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Shultz officiating. Mr. Joyce was born in Rockingham County to Mary Davis Joyce Orander and the late Gene Tyler Joyce. Tyler enjoyed attending Auctions and very often he catered the events. He loved his God, attending Church, enjoyed meeting people and helping others. Tyler was an animal lover and enjoyed being an independent businessman. Along with his father, Mr. Joyce was preceded in death by his step-father, Carl Gene Orander I.Tyler is survived by his mother, Mary Davis Joyce Orander and sister, Melody Joyce both of Wentworth, NC; step-brother, Carl Gene Orander II and wife, Rhonda; friend and partner; Ricky Kelly; nephew, Adam Orander; niece, Amber Orander and many friends and cousins.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the graveside service at Ayersville Baptist Church Cemetery and other times at the home of his sister, Melody, 1129 NC Hwy 65, Wentworth, NC.
