Mildred McBryde Adkins Strader

Reidsville: Mildred McBryde Adkins Strader, 85, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Penn Nursing Center. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bruce McBride officiating.Mrs. Strader was born in Rockingham County to the late Hazel Holt McBryde and Clara Canady McBryde. She was retired from Bates Nightware after 34 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas E. Adkins and Wilbert Strader; sister, Annie Pearson; brothers, Maurice McBryde and Marion McBryde. She is survived by her sons, Tommy Adkins and special friend, Shirley Rollins of Greensboro, Ronnie Adkins and wife, Carolyn of Eden, NC; daughters, Janice S. King and husband, Frank, Carol Ann S. Taylor and husband, Charlie, all of Reidsville; 5 Grandchildren, 9 great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, July 25, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Ronnie Adkins , 6059 Hwy 700, Eden, N.C.Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, Cemetery Fund, 361 Mt.
