Mildred Sunshine Fretwell Hill

Reidsville – Mildred Sunshine Fretwell Hill, 88, died Thursday, December 25, 2008 at Avante at Reidsville. Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, December 29, 2008 in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Mrs. Hill was born in Reidsville to the late Thomas E. Fretwell, Sr. and Edna Sparks Fretwell. She was a member of Mizpah United Methodist Church and was employed with Cardinal cleaners, later retiring from Belk. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Cicero Hill; brothers, Thomas Edward Fretwell, Jr., Zeb Martin Fretwell, Jesse Miles Fretwell, Eugene Klenner Fretwell; sister, Mary Fretwell Hill. Survivors include her son, Larry Hill of Reidsville; grandchildren, Thomas Landon Hill and wife, Stephanie of Savannah, GA, Laura Thompson and husband, John; great grandchildren, Jonathan Strader, Jay Thompson and Walter Thompson, Hannah Hill and Hollie Hill, all of Clarksville, VA; brothers, Curtis Sparks Fretwell and wife Sybil of Reidsville, Sam McGehee Fretwell and wife, Arlene of Eden; sister, Betty Ann Fretwell Roberts and husband, Maurice of Greensboro; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Avante for their care. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday, December 28, from 6-8 PM Other times at the home of Larry Hill, 1119 S. Woodleigh Circle, Reidsville.
