Reidsville – Mildred Wells Southard, 82, of 1202 Gunn St. Apt 14A, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 17, 2008. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, January 21, 2008 at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Boswell officiating. The Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Southard was born in Caswell County. She was a homemaker and a longtime and faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Southard; her mother, Mary Wells Chapmon; her step father, James Malloy Chapmon; her brothers, Thomas and Billy Chapmon. She is survived by her son, Rickey Southard and Linda Ellington; grandchildren, April Coe and Mary Southard; great grandchildren, Sarah Southard, Greyson and Kaylin Coe; brothers, J.E. Chapmon of TX, Calvin Wilson of FL, William Chapmon of NC and Henry Chapmon of NC; sisters, Ella Mae Moody of TX and Dorothy Fagan of GA; numerous nieces and nephews; faithful and caring friend, Rollin Curran of Reidsville; special aunt, Lillie Mae Walker; sisters-in-law, Irene Southard, Hallie Southard and Frances Southard Wells; special and longtime friends, Sandy and Betty Ann Brown and Ceedy and Janet Cook; and a host of cousins and friends. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday, January 20, 2008 from 4-6 PM and other times at Linda’s home (1616 Pecan Road). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 7860 NC Highway 87, Reidsville, NC 27320. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.wilkersonfuneral.com
