Minnie McNeill Epting

Minnie McNeill Epting passed away December 9th, 2023. She was born June 16th, 1932, a daughter of Carrie Metts and William David McNeill.

She obtained her RN degree from York County Hospital in Rock Hill, SC and was a nurse for more than 30 years serving South Carolina’s Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.

She is survived by her grandchildren: Carrie (Tony) Rabon, Brent (Chelsea) Hartness, Jessica (David Ushman) Keefe, Lauren Hartness, Caleb Keefe, and Christian Santana as well as great grandchildren: Macyn & Emily Rabon, Ethan & Natalie Ushman, Isaiah & Gabriel Hartness. She is also survived by her sister Virginia Richburg.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years Richard Alfred Epting, daughters: Karen Hartness, Maria Keefe, infant Deborah Epting as well as 7 siblings.

 Minnie enjoyed spending time with her family and was an active member of Arsenal Hill Presbyterian Church.  She was an avid sewer, making and donating 100’s of handmade children’s clothing items to missionaries overseas. Minnie was exceptionally cared for at The Landings of Rockingham upon relocating to Reidsville, North Carolina in her later days.

Friends and family will be holding a memorial service at 2:00 PM,  Saturday December 16, 2023 at Arsenal Hill Presbyterian Church in Columbia, South Carolina.
