Monnie Louise Thompson

Reidsville – Monnie Louise Thompson, 61, of Reidsville, passed away Monday, March 10th, 2014, at N.C. Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the home of Larry Hill, 512 Lawndale Drive, Monday evening from 6-8 PM. A native of Rockingham County, Monnie was a 20 year employee of the Rockingham County Department of Social Services, and received both her under graduate and graduate degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She was most recently employed by Frenisius She is survived by her children that she shared with Larry Hill; son, Landon Hill (Stephanie) of Savannah, GA and daughter, Laura Thompson (John) of Clarksville, VA. In addition , she is survived by her granddaughters, Hannah and Hollie Hill as well as her grandsons, Jonathon Strader and Jay and Walter Thompson. Surviving siblings include Dee Jones (Grant) of High Point, NC, Allen Thompson of Roanoke, VA and Ginger Waynick (Fletcher) of Reidsville. Also, dear friends, Karen Styons and family and Pam Mitchell and family.
