Mullen Constant Moricle

Reidsville- Mullen Constant “M.C.” Moricle, Jr., 90, of 1011 Walnut Street, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, April 18th at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Clayton and Rev. Grover Holder. Burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery with military graveside rites. M.C. was born in Rockingham County to the late Mullen C. Moricle, Sr. and Carrie Echols Moricle . He was a Sergeant in the US Army Air Corp during WWII and a member of First Congregational Christian Church, DAV, AMVETS and the VFW. He attended Piedmont Bible College and Elon College and was a staff manager with Charlotte Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and an agent with NC State Motor Club. After retirement M.C. worked as a custodian at RCC and was a security guard with G.H. Security. He hosted the Moricle’s Open Air Gospel Sing for 29 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Hobbs “Tootsie” Moricle, brothers, Charles “Mody” Moricle, J.W. Moricle, Howard S. Moricle; sisters, Annie M. Hall, Louise M. Cooke and Pauline M. Woodall. He is survived by his sons, Marshall Moricle and wife, Mary, Garland Moricle, Wesley Moricle, Timmy Moricle and wife, Gale: Grandchildren, Randy Moricle, Pam Hopkins, Calvin “Bubba” Thompson, Chris Thompson, Jon Moricle, Steven Moricle, Wesley McBride; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Ella Mae Carter, Charlotte Baker and Betty Hagwood; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Thursday, April 17th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Other times the family will be at the residence.
