Myrtle Owensby Huskey

Reidsville: Myrtle O. Huskey, 83, of 1318 Wolf Island Rd., passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Bill McKinney officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 P.M., prior to the service at the church and other times at the home. Myrtle was born on December 4, 1932, in Morganton, NC, to the late Edward Dewey and Luellar Hensley Owensby. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church. She was married to Jimmy Morris Huskey for 59 years. She loved to read and work puzzles. She was a loving wife, mother and sister. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruby Burgin and a nephew, Jonathan Burgin. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Morris Huskey; her daughter, Jo Ann Huskey Corum; her sister, Blanche Coe Sells; her nieces and nephews, Texie Needham and husband Bruce, Marlene Harrison and husband Darrell, Martha Duncan and husband Gary, Penny Hudson and husband Randy, Christopher Burgin and special friend and Jason Coe and wife Diane, and great nieces and nephews, Michael Joyner, David Hudson and Amber Needham. Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Fellowship Church, 737 Madison St., Reidsville, NC 27320.
