Reidsville – Nancy Martin Moran Gillespie, 95, of 610 Maple Ave., went to be with the Lord with her family by her side on Saturday, March 15th, 2014, at Hospice of Rockingham County.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Reidlawn Cemetery with Rev. Larry Beavers officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, after the service at 610 Maple Ave. in Reidsville.
Nancy Gillespie was born in Eden on December 12, 1918, to the late James William and Snoda Coward Martin. She was a lifetime member of Baptist Temple Church. She was a very talented artist who loved to paint. She also loved gardening and loved her family more than anything else.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carson Moran, her second husband, Frank H. Gillespie, her sisters, Nellie Law and Ada Whitten, her brothers, Jack Martin, Thomas Martin, and Elwin Martin and a son-in-law, Owen L. Schrum, Jr.
Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn M. Schrum of Raleigh, Shirley M. Kallam and husband Tommy of Gastonia and Bonnye M. Williams and husband Russell of Reidsville; five grandchildren, Owen Schrum, Blair Schrum, Todd Kallam, Teresa Molby and Donald Williams; ten great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
